Desert Mounted Memorial Albany

Within the Catalogue, on this site, and under Small circular ashtrays, there is an ashtray with the same.....Desert Mounted Column,1916-1918 Memorial ....... Albany WA. A little article was in todays West Australian newspaper regarding this monument, so I will include that for collectors who may not know Albany or the monument to any extent. I am interested in knowing if other pieces exist with the same on the piece, as with the Ashtray and jug. My jug has an unclear mark underneath, it could be IU or maybe 10. I thought it could be the jug`s holding capacity, and it does hold about 9 Oz.

Thanks Richard for that extra information. Even as a West Australian I have not seen that monument on site myself. It was a long time ago that I was down that way. I suppose these may have been sold as souvenirs in Albany, but I am not sure about that. We do not seem to have any of the same presented on here just yet, but at least we know an ashtray and a jug were used for this monument.
