Smoking Cat Ashtray

Does anybody know if the "Smoking Cat Ashtray" was originally factory produced (although rarer), with the gold ears and features??
I am particularly concerned about the white 'eyeliner' around the eyes.
Was this factory issue?
Or do you think someone has touched it up later?

It is possible that it was done in the factory.....just one of those things you would have to take your chances!!!

The gold certainly looks the same as the gold on the other pieces.....just my opinion so others may like to voice
