Hi,
I have inherited a plane ashtray with 'New Zealand' embossed on the edge as opposed to 'Australia'.
I wondered if anyone knew how many of these were made and what I could expect to receive if it was sold.
Thanks

A lovely piece Sue and though the word "rare" is anything but these days in describing items - this plane is
rare!!!
I couldn't say how many were made as there is to my knowledge no records of the numbers produced.
As far as valuations I am unable to say but the last one sold to my knowledge was in excess of $4,000
I would suggest if you are interested in selling to list it on ebay as you will reach the majority of Wembley Collectors.

Please keep us informed!!

Hi Sue,I am not going to speculate on what price you will get for the plane but I will ask if you could supply me with photo's of it plus the base, these will be used on a website for information and education only. No names or addresses are included on the website, just a description of the item and history (if known), pictures in the forum cannot be reproduced at a size to be of any use to us so please send them to "wembley@westnet.com.au", this would be much appreciated and allow people to see the scope of things that were produced at the factory.
Best wishes
