Thanks in advace for any info I can obtain! I have been posting this lamp base on various FB sites in a hope to identity... The closet I came was a lady's reply wondering Wembley aware with a pic of a similar ceramic head!! Can anyone tell me if earlier purse were numbered & with initials or who the Maker may be Please!

Hi Wendy - yes I saw this lamp on one of the site and a quick glance I too thought Wembley - but no 99.9% sure it
isn't - Wembley didn't put numbers on the bases of their work...Diana did and so did a couple of other potteries.
I think Barsony did and they did the black lady lamps and ornaments...just a thought.....maybe others will comment on here.
I think there is a Diana site - if so you could try that. Best of luck. Nice piece and don't give up!!
