Forgot to ask - would you email a photo of the jug and the base to Wembley@westnet.com.au for our records please, and can

we use it under the heading of Calyx  ...   Lee Committee member Wembley ware society.

Thanks Geoff - I have looked in our limited reference book and the shape is there but not with the Johnny Walker

logo - it would be very hard to put a value on it as we have not seen one before - there are not many Calyx collectors

out there but having said that they will probably come out of the woodwork for it!!!

Can only hope you get some more responses on this site or put it on ebay and let the collectors decide the final price.

Or there is the Australian Pottery site on Facebook.

Any more help we can give you please do not hesitate to ask.     Lee

In Topic: seeking identification of swan, ashtray and umbrella

25 August 2015 - 09:02 AM

Hi Jennifer - thanks for the questions and the photo's - they definitely all look to be Wembley Ware

although there is a wall vase the same made in Germany but more than likely yours is Wembley as are

both the swans - the little gold swan appears to be the "ashtray" its tail is the cigarette  rest whereas the

other little swans with the shorter tails are vases.  All would have been made around the 50's.

If you look up "completed listings" on ebay under Wembley Ware it will give you some idea of the values.

Any more info that you may like please do not hesitate to contact us.
