A comparison here regarding the Wembley Ware Bonox mug and the English made Bovril mug. Bonox originated in the US as a part of Kraft Foods. Bovril originated in the UK. Both these mugs are somewhat similar in design, different size to some extent, but both thick walled for hot drinks. Of interest to me is of course the Wembley Ware Bonox one,and even having lived through the era when Wembley Ware made these mugs,I do not know how they would have been distributed at that time. I think Bonox was in a liquid form in a bottle? Would one have bought the bottle of Bonox and be given one of these mugs? Or bought the Bonox and payed extra for a mug? Or maybe coupons were given out on each bottle of Bonox one bought, and then one would send the coupons in and be given a Bonox mug?
